Honduras Próspera Inc. is the Organizer and Promoter of development zones in Honduras. These zones represent a new generation of Special Economic Zones with an unrivaled legal, regulatory and fiscal ecosystem for doing business while guaranteeing the full spectrum of human rights, including, but not limited to, strong protections for labor, investment, and property rights. The company’s first project is located on the island of Roatán in Honduras.
This initiative represents the first proof of concept of Próspera’s governance platform and expects to generate more than 10,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2025, while contributing substantially to the country’s economy.
The company’s Honduran-based subsidiaries are committed to hiring 90% of Honduran employees with a minimum wage 10% to 25% above the national base.
